Located at an altitude of 903 metres, only 3 km from Vielha, on the road to France. It is notable for its interesting layout, whose traditional Aranese civil architecture is symbiotically adapted to the whimsical shapes of its alleyways. Among its streets you’ll find the Romanesque church of Sant Martí and on its main square the Glèisa dera Mare de Diu deth Rosèr dating from the 12th and 13th century, with its 16th century octagonal bell tower.
From Aubèrt it is easy to reach of the most beautiful and frequently visited corners in the whole of the Val d’Aran, the forest of Baricauba, and from here the Artiga de Lin and Els Uelhs deth Joeu.
This church was built in the 12th century and has undergone many modifications over the years.
