Vall de Boí world heritage site

80 km from Vielha.

The set of Romanesque architecture made up of the churches of Sant Climent and Santa Maria in Taüll, Sant Joan in Boí, Santa Eulàlia in Erill la Vall, Sant Feliu in Barruera, la Nativitat in Durro, Santa Maria in Cardet, l’Assumpci in Cóll and the chapel of Sant Quirc in Durro has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since  2000. Built between the 11th and 12th centuries, the churches are architectural treasures, preserved almost completely intact over hundreds of years: they are situated in tiny mountain villages where local customs, the landscape and the ancient rocks seem to be trapped in time, as if the passing centuries were unable to affect them.
